Payments and security
Subscriptions are sold in pounds sterling (GBP) and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are published at chatnec.com/pricing and exclude VAT, which is added at the prevailing rate where it applies.
Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified service provider. Card details are entered into Stripe's own form and sent directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection. We never see, handle or store your card number. Our systems hold only a token and the last four digits, which is what lets us take the next renewal without asking you again.
We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Charges appear on your statement as [[STATEMENT_DESCRIPTOR]].
You can cancel at any time from the billing page in your account, in one action, without emailing anyone. What happens next is set out in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Availability and restrictions
ChatNEC is sold to businesses and professionals in the United Kingdom and is written around the NEC suite of contracts under the law of England and Wales. We can supply it elsewhere, but the commentary it cites and the deadlines it works to are English law ones, and you should read it in that light.
We do not supply the service to anyone in a country subject to UK or international sanctions, or to any person on a sanctions list. Subscribers must be at least 18 years old.
ChatNEC is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. It is a drafting and analysis tool whose output is produced by AI and must be checked by a competent person before it is relied on or sent. The full position is in the Terms of Service.
NEC and trade marks
NEC is a trade mark of Thomas Telford Limited. ChatNEC is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by NEC, Thomas Telford Limited or the Institution of Civil Engineers.
